Bigg Boss 20: ScoutOP’s ‘Khatam Kar Do’ Remark on Arishfa Khan Sparks Backlash as She Faces Online Threats

Updated:

A task argument inside the Bigg Boss 20 house has become the season’s first genuine controversy — and it has not stayed inside the house. After a heated exchange with Arishfa Khan, esports star ScoutOP turned to the camera and appealed to his online following. In the days since, Arishfa has been targeted with threats on social media, and viewers are asking the makers to respond.

What happened during the task

The News Mill reports that a heated exchange between gaming creator ScoutOP and Arishfa Khan during a task in the latest episode of Bigg Boss 20 has divided viewers. Our Day 9 highlights noted that the captaincy task pushed Scout to breaking point; what has emerged since is how far the argument actually went.

During the argument, Pinkvilla reports, ScoutOP was heard saying: “Yahi patak ke fek dunga side mein.” He also took a dig at Arishfa’s work as a creator, telling her: “Reelo ke gaane bajadu trending vaale, nachoge ta-ta-thaiya nachaniya.”

Siasat adds that he questioned Arishfa about what she represents, while claiming that he represents his country — a framing that did a great deal to widen the argument beyond the two people having it.

The line that turned a house fight into a national row

The moment that travelled furthest was not aimed at Arishfa at all. It was aimed past her, at the camera.

Pinkvilla reports that ScoutOP addressed his audience directly, saying: “Main khule aam gaming community ko bolta hoon, achhe YouTube community ko bolta hoon” — openly telling the gaming community and the YouTube community — before adding the words that have been replayed endlessly since, asking them to finish her.

Siasat notes that another clip involving ScoutOP has also gone viral on social media. The distinction matters: ScoutOP is not an ordinary housemate with a television following. He is one of India’s biggest gaming creators, with an audience that is young, extremely online and highly mobilised — and he invoked it by name while a camera was running.

ScoutOP’s side: “Task mein ladka ladki nahi hai mere liye”

Scout has given his own account of the incident. Speaking to Qazi Touqeer, he claimed that Arishfa had hit him twice and said he had already warned her not to touch him. He recalled his warning as: “Mereko touch mat karna, nahi to main patak ke marunga.”

Defending himself, he said he does not distinguish between male and female contestants during a task: “Task mein ladka ladki nahi hai mere liye.”

That is the argument his supporters have made too. The News Mill reports that some defended ScoutOP, accusing Arishfa of becoming physical during the task.

Qazi Touqeer and Isha Rikhi push back inside the house

Notably, the pushback did not only come from outside. It came from housemates in the room.

Qazi Touqeer disagreed with Scout’s approach and, in Pinkvilla’s words, maintained that speaking to someone in that manner was inappropriate.

Isha Rikhi also intervened during the discussion and objected to the physical nature of the confrontation. Her line was blunt: “Ye thappad wali baat galat hai.” The slap talk is wrong.

Two housemates telling a contestant, on camera, that the manner of his argument crossed a line is not a small thing in a house where alliances usually come first.

The backlash, and the threats against Arishfa Khan

LatestLY reports that ScoutOP faced widespread online backlash after making aggressive threats toward co-contestant Arishfa Khan, with the outlet noting the severe reaction to his remarks and to his appealing to his online gaming community.

What followed is the part that has moved this out of the entertainment pages. Siasat reports: “The controversy, however, has now gone beyond the house, with some social media users issuing rape and death threats against Arishfa Khan following her argument with ScoutOP.”

Siasat adds that the threats have triggered outrage among viewers, and that the comments and the reactions that followed have sparked a debate among Bigg Boss viewers.

It is worth stating plainly what this now is. A disagreement over a task inside a game show has resulted in a real person receiving threats of sexual violence. Arishfa Khan is in the house and cannot see any of it, cannot answer it, and cannot ask anyone to stop. Whatever view a viewer takes of who behaved badly during the task itself, that consequence sits outside the game entirely.

The News Mill reports that the argument remains a prominent topic among Bigg Boss 20 viewers, with social media users split over the conduct of both contestants during the task. Neither the makers nor host Salman Khan had addressed the matter publicly at the time of writing, though Siasat reports viewers have been demanding exactly that.

What it means for the game

ScoutOP is already on the eviction block. He was nominated alongside Aasif Khan and Rohed Khan as punishment after Bigg Boss scrapped the housemates’ own nominations, which our Day 8 report covers in full. Aasif has since called the whole process unfair.

Under this season’s Tathastu twist, every contestant has two lifelines, so the lowest-voted housemate loses a life rather than a place — our elimination guide explains the rule in detail.

The real jeopardy for Scout is not the vote, though. Weekend Ka Vaar is where Salman Khan traditionally confronts housemates over conduct, and contestants who have brought their outside fanbases into a fight have historically come off worst in that chair. Season after season, the housemates who lasted were the ones who played the game rather than mobilised against it — as the record of past Bigg Boss champions shows.

How to watch

Episodes stream on JioHotstar at 9 pm, followed by the Colors TV telecast later in the night. Our Bigg Boss live guide has the full schedule and the 24/7 feed, and the Bigg Boss 20 contestants list links every housemate’s biography.
