Day 9 in the Bigg Boss 20 house belonged to the kitchen. What began as a question about potatoes in a chicken curry turned into the season’s ugliest argument so far, with Mahhi Vij and Amrapali Dubey telling each other to “shut up” and Mahhi walking away in tears. Elsewhere in the episode, the captaincy task pushed ScoutOP to breaking point, and the three housemates Bigg Boss punished a day earlier stayed on the eviction block.
Mahhi Vij vs Amrapali Dubey: the chicken curry row
The fight started with a simple suggestion. Mahhi Vij walked into the kitchen and asked the cooking team, which includes Amrapali Dubey, about adding potatoes to the chicken curry. A miffed Amrapali told Mahhi to let the cooking team make the food, and then to stay away from the kitchen while they were cooking.
Mahhi left the kitchen in anger, and the exchange turned personal from there. She was heard saying, “Iske mooh lagungi? Amma ke tarah bith gayi” (Why would I engage with her? She has started behaving like an old lady). Amrapali hit back with a jibe about Mahhi’s cooking: “When she cooks, 16 people barely get food to eat.” Both women ended up telling each other to shut up.
It did not end at the kitchen door. The argument continued even after Mahhi left and went to the lawn, where housemates gathered around her. India TV reports that Mahhi ended up walking away and crying.
What Amrapali said behind Mahhi’s back
The same episode showed the fallout spreading through the house. Amrapali told Love Gill that Mahhi enjoys being treated disrespectfully, a line that is likely to come back at the next Weekend Ka Vaar.
Meanwhile Uditi Singh spoke about having lost one of her lives in the game. She is the only housemate so far to have used up a lifeline, which puts her in the most fragile position in the house.
ScoutOP breaks down during the captaincy task
The captaincy task gave the episode its other flashpoint. ScoutOP and Arishfa Khan had been building towards a heated confrontation, and when it came, with Uditi Singh also involved, the argument escalated so much that Scout started crying.
He was later seen telling the camera that gaming is different and the YouTube community is different, a reminder that the house is a very different arena from the one that made him one of India’s biggest esports names. Our ScoutOP biography has his full journey so far.
Where the Week 2 nominations stand
The nomination punishment from Day 8 still shapes the week. Bigg Boss dismissed the nominations made by the housemates and instead nominated three contestants, Aasif Khan, ScoutOP and Rohed Khan, as punishment for discussing nominations and violating the rules.
Bigg Boss played the housemates a video of Aasif, Yung DSA, Rohed and ScoutOP discussing who to nominate. Three of the four went on the block, with the exception of captain Yung DSA, who was reprimanded instead. Our Day 8 highlights cover how the task collapsed.
Will anyone be evicted this week?
Not necessarily. Under this season’s Tathastu twist, every contestant has two lifelines. Finishing last in a public vote costs one lifeline rather than a place in the house; only a second last-place finish means eviction.
All three of this week’s nominees still have both lifelines, so the lowest-voted of Aasif, ScoutOP and Rohed should lose a life rather than leave, unless the makers add a twist. Uditi is the only housemate already down to one, after finishing last in Week 1. Our elimination guide explains the rule in full.
